hummingbirds have been here all summer in good numbers. We've had at least one nesting pair, who have been guarding their territory fervantly. A big hit this year was the Mexican Sunflower I planted. This puts hummers in competition with goldfinch, and its interesting to note that the hummingbirds have been successfully chasing away the goldfinch!
