I watched on 08/21/10 for an hour in the morning and then about 30 minutes in the early evening, plus watched periodically for 5-10 minutes throughout the day. I have 3 feeders and at least 10 hummingbirds that are visiting the feeders quite often now. There has been a lot more activity and territory chalenges going on lately-in the past week. The show is tremendous. They seem to be drinking for longer periods of time now. They even sit on the feeder and eat as opposed to actively hovering over the feeders as they eat. The females seem to be more protective of their young as well. You can tell they are getting ready to migrate because the activity has incerased greatly.
