I have seen over a dozen monarchs in the last 3 days. Yesterday when I was out walking, I spotted a monarch caterpillar on milkweed. Upon closer observation, I noticed several smaller caterpillars on the same plant and several more leaves with eggs on the underside! A monarch goldmine all on one milkweed plant!! Several more larvae and eggs on nearby. Could be due to release of monarchs at a recent memorial service for a local lover of monarchs. Or maybe population is increasing???
