Hummingbird Sighting

Date: 08/24/2010

Number: 1

The hummers are still keeping me busy with at least 15 or so coming on a regular basis. I have picked up a new adult male and young male in the past week. They are all feeding frequently and keep my three one quart feeders having to be refilled at least once every three to four days. Some of the females are very thin and I think most of the birds are transient hummers since they seem rather unsure of themselves at my feeders where my summer birds were almost tame. I could stand next to the feeders and they would still feed but these guys are nervous and all zoom away with my slightest movement.
