Today several Monarchs were seen in the pasture on the "back forty". We used to have a good stand of milkweed there, but during the very dry years we have had lately, we lost most of it.
This year has been a good milkweed year for us so milkweed is back and Monarchs are arriving. I saw two Monarchs at the house nectaring on flowers in the yard this afternoon, but saw several in the pasture this morning.
My observation time: I was watching for __0_ hours and _20__ minutes.
