Again this year, I sighted only 1 Monarch Butterfly flying through my yard from Northwest to Southeast. We have had several wild fires in the area again this year and do not know if this is a factor in only sighting 1 Monarch butterfly. It was not roosting, only flying through the area. I happened to spot it through my kitchen window as I was preparing lunch and did not observe any other Monarch butterflies. In the past 22 years, I have only sighted 2 Monarch butterflies, 1 last year and 1 this year. My observation time: I was watching for 6___ hours and __0_ minutes.
