Saw my first migrating monarchs of the season around 7:00 tonight. I was on our driveway and 6 monarchs, along with a few dragonflies, flew over the roof of the house heading SW. We had a cold front come through Monday night (8/23) and have had light winds from the NW since then. Now if I can ever locate a roost! My observation time: I was watching for 5 minutes.
