Monarch PEAK Migration

Date: 08/26/2010

Number: 1

Since August 18, 2010, large numbers of Monarch Butterflies have been passing through our area on the south shores of Lake Huron. They are regularly seen flying over the beach area, feeding on the backyard flowers and flying over the nearby farms fields and roadways. My observation time: I have been watching these butterflies at the beach, in my back yard (about 500 feet from Lake Huron) & while driving around this area for several hours each day since August 18, 2010 between 10:00am & 8:00pm.
