Hummingbird Sighting

Date: 08/27/2010

Number: 1

Very active population. Five and six at our feeders at a time all day long. Males and females together. Young males with the start of red dots on their throats. From past experience watching, they are increasing their fat stores in preparation for migration. Had one nesting earlier in the season, July, and have one very late in the season nesting now. Unable to count how many babies due to location in tree.
