Signs of Fall

Date: 08/27/2010

Number: 1

We have many young birds at the feeders - one male oriole comes for jelly and nectar - one very unsightly male grosbeak - poor fellow - his feathers look pretty tacky but next year he'll be beautiful! - comes around often for sunflower seeds. Baby goldfinches keep 'commplaining' to mom cause the food isn't coming fast enough. (We'll get thistle seed today) Bluejays are making all their 'autumn' noises plus are at the feeder more often - we don't see them often during the summer. Chickadees and nuthatches also are at the feeder often.
