For the last three weeks I've had a couple of Rufous hummers fighting for control of the back yard. One sits in the tree and watches the whole yard to chase away any intruders while one little guy tries to get away with a sip here and there on the different feeders. I had witnessed the same thing last year. Last year he stayed around until the middle of September.
