Two monarch females have been hanging and overnighting in my yard for more than two weeks. I see them throughout the day and they are quite friendly. They do not appear to be ovipositing given the large number of milkweed including tropical milkweed in my yard. Thought I spied a male patrolling beyond the yard in the grass along the gold course last but could not get close enough to check for the wing spots. The movements were that of a patrolling male. My observation time: I was watching for approximately 3 hours over a period of a day while gardening.
