They seem pretty frantic about feeding. I have six feeders up and they drain them in two days. I've seen as many as 12 hummingbirds in my back yard while others were at the front yard feeder. When I refill the feeders, they don't wait until I've taken my hand off of it before coming to eat. If I stand still, they will feed while I'm holding the feeder.
