Hummingbird Sighting

Date: 08/27/2010

Number: 1

Our hummers are a busy lot, and a lot of them there are! We think we have at least five of them. We have seen four sitting on the tree branches, and one zipping by. All are very fat. We have many males and maybe only one female. We have lots of flowers and I am still putting out feeders, so there is lots of food here. I saw one eating at red salvia and another at purple petunias yesterday and today. I was thinking that maybe we now have more because of migration, but my husband doesn't think so, he thinks it is the group that have been here most of the summer.
