Hummingbird Sighting

Date: 08/29/2010

Number: 1

Lots of feisty males..amazing they have any energy as much as they attack each other. We have lots of pine trees so the birds are always around, but of course now we have a lot more visitors. We leave the hosta flowers for them and they seem to enjoy the moonflowers as well. Not sure how many exactly but at least 8 males and only 3 or 4 females. One rather large male is quite the fighter, you can actually see feathers fly from the other males when he attacks.
