Monarch Adult Sighted

Date: 08/28/2010

Number: 25

mid/upper 80's; sunny, breezy all day; around 830am CST only 8-10 early risers (much cooler and shadier then); watched them again around 3pm CST and again it was btwn 20-25 monarchs feeding on the liatris -- so many neighbors have stopped to ask about them I put a note and some photos of monarchs under a rock on our brick ledge along the sidewalk that told about their journey ahead, the miles they'll travel and what kind of plant they're feeding on -- one of my neighbors when I lived about 5 blks aay has a little boy who remembered the butterflies when he was little so last night he and his mom walked over to my new place to see them and get his picture taken with them -- sooo cute...! a future scientist in the making...! pm
