Our classrooms were getting ready to go outside for playground time on Friday and I had discussed our Journey North observations from last year with the students. They saw almost on cue three Monarch Butterflies outside our window. I was really hard to believe that they were actually there flitting around the bushes outside the windows. We continued our walk to the outside playground and once again there were several 4-7 butterflies on our playground. The students were sooo excited and the chatter began. We were so happy to actually see the butterflies today. My observation time: I was watching for ___ hours and __45_ minutes.
