This past week we have had hummingbirds regulary feeding on the feeders. This evening I had my first male ruby at our feeder...otherwise, it has just been females. They are such little jewels and we love watching them as they flit around our yard visiting the various flowers. But, I have noticed that this year we seem to have seen less of this little gem than in the years past??? Not sure why, but it has been a quieter year for hummers this year in our yard. All in all, we are appreciative for the ones that do stop to visit and look forward to the next few weeks before they decide to make their journey south again.
