I saw two monarchs that appeared to be mating at about 3:25 pm. Is it unusual for them to be mating this late in the season? Saw another one nectaring on thistle behind our back fence and one flying by about 10 minutes later. The temperature here is in the upper 80s. My observation time: I was watching for __0_ hours and _15__ minutes.
