Monarch PEAK Migration

Date: 08/29/2010

Number: 1

We are finishing our vacation here in Parry Sound and we have been able to tag 154 Monarchs during about a total of 7 hours of tagging in the last few days. We have also recovered many larvae, mostly 4th and 5th instars, as well as 10 eggs. This is remarkably better than last year's experience when larvae were scarce and no adults were tagged.
Encouraging news from this part of northern Ontario on Georgian Bay!
