Hummingbird Sighting

Date: 09/01/2010

Number: 1

A female ruby throated fed on my butterfly bush this morning next to several monarchs. I am glad that they are both still here; I haven't seen a robin in the last week. That bird ought to be referred to as the 'harbinger of autumn' since it seems to be the first to leave for the winter, often as early as the end of August.
