Monarchs were making their way across Western Lake Erie Sunday morning. At East Harbor State Park we counted 22 within a 10 minute viewing from the beach. We also spied 5 eggs and 8 caterpillars in a patch of milkweed, Asclepies incarnata, at the edge of the pond. What a beautiful day! My observation time: I was watching for _1__ hours and __30_ minutes.
