Monarch PEAK Migration

Date: 09/01/2010

Number: 1

At 11:30 today I began to see dozens of butterflies landing on the driveway of Parthie's Landscape on Hwy 41 south of Marinette Wisconsin. The entire day I saw hundreds of Monarchs landing and flying. I could not tell which direction they were going because of a 4 lane hi-way. We had heavy morning rain and then the sun came out and temp.was aprox 78 strong wind through out the day. Awsome experiance This may be the beginning of the migration or not. I saw migration twice in my life and will never forget it. I left work at 5:30 and there were still dozens fluttering aboout. My observation time: I was watching for _6__ hours and ___ minutes.
