Hummingbird Sighting

Date: 09/03/2010

Number: 1

Well, our temporary visitors that arrived last week have left now and we have only about 7 of our regular Ruby Throated Hummingbirds left. There is at least one adult male in the group but he is pretty tolerant of the juveniles and females at the feeder. They all swarm around and then settle down to feed for a while before flying off for a few minutes and then they return. It's getting cooler here. The morning temps are in the low 50's so I don't know how much longer we will have them here.
