I had been away for several days and when I returned it appeared my little resident female and her arch rival female had both gone! I was sad and watched for an entire day with no results. The following day--hooray!!! she reappeared and perched near my chair as if to say "Where have you been?!!" And lo and behold, here came the rival, flying teasingly close, which naturally led to a merry chase all over the yard! I was so glad, as it is a bit early for them to leave--the garden still is full of flowers and the weather still nice and warm.
