Hummingbird Sighting

Date: 09/03/2010

Number: 1

Still have two females. One is larger, which I believe to be the mother. The smaller of the two is very curious and will fly near us and hover close to our faces - within arm's reach - and look at us. The larger burd chases the smaller bird away from the feeders. She often times positions herself on a branch to be able to see all three feeders in our yard. When the smaller bird goes near any of them, the larger bird charges. The larger bird is wary of us, and the smaller bird frequently flies through our back porch right past us, whereupon the large bird veers away avoiding us.
