Hummingbird Sighting

Date: 09/02/2010

Number: 1

The adult RTHB's seem to have left this area now. Have not seen my regular dominant male in several days now.

My two feeders still receive regular visits by a female and at least one juvenile male, but possibly two. The juvenile male is easily spotted, as he's sporting a single red feather in the center of his white bib. It looks like a red medallion when the light hits it just right. I shall miss them when they go, but then, there's the hope that I'll see them return next spring.
