Monarch (OTHER Observations)

Date: 09/03/2010

Number: 1

Having had no monarch eggs or caterpillars for most of the summer when I had an abundant supply of fresh milkweed, I am now finding them everywhere. The milkweed is now dried and the leaves tough. My monarchs ( 129 last year) usually fly north but they start out much earlier in the summer. This year I only had 6 during what I think of as migrating season. I had 20 that came out in Aug and have 20 either in chrysalis stage or caterpillar stage right now. Where in the world will they go?
