Monarch Adult Sighted

Date: 08/30/2010

Number: 1

We went up on the Blue Ridge Parkway on August 30th looking particularly for signs of the Fall Monarch Migration . . . first stop was Double Top Mountain Overlook (Mile Marker 435.3)

We were not disappointed . . . saw six of them nectaring on White Snakeroot to the exclusion of most everything else blooming there. The temps ere in the upper 60s to low 70s and the sky was partly sunny.
