My husband reported seeing a hummingbird nectaring at our trumpet creeper in the back yard between 4:30 and 5 pm today. When asked if he could see if it was male or female, he said the bird spent so much time with its face inside the flowers he couldn't see it at a good angle to tell. Might have been a post Hurricane Earl dinner.
