Whooping crane with leg band radio transmitter has been landing all week with sandhills and eating in a harvested oats field. I observed it land today, 09/03/10, at about 7:00 a.m. with 7 sandhills and it ate all day with many sandhills and Canadian geese that landed at various times during the day. The crane left at about 8:00 p.m. with a group of sandhills after the large flock of geese left for the night.
