Hummingbirds are still here! However, we sighted our last of the season hummer on September 4, 2009, so expect to miss them very soon. During the two weeks-- since we saw our last adult male (on August 21st)--we've noticed what must be a juvenile male practicing his male behavior. He is increasingly noisy and aggressive. He's now 'chirp-chirp-chirping' constantly and making those male 'zooming' noises as he flies. We're interested in learning whether this is an accurate observation.
