The dozens of hummingbirds at the feeders have dwindled to a dozen on and off during the day. For the first time, this year we've had two praying mantids sitting on the feeders, hanging upside down and following the hummers with their eyes as they feed. The hummers don't seem to be bothered by the mantids; they just hover in front of them for a few seconds and go off to another feeder to feed. Has anyone had this happen to their feeders? It's quite amazing to watch.
