Hummingbird Sighting

Date: 09/04/2010

Number: 1

Its sunny, low humidity and 82 degrees at 2:15 pm, a big improvement over the rest of the week that was over 90 degrees F. I still have at least 3 Ruby Throats feeding heavily at 3 feeders(although they seem to lock into trying to mostly feed at one or two of the feeders at a time.)The adult males appear to have gone now. I am seeing immatures and females and lots of conflict over the feeders.Hummers are still working over my large althea bush flowers also. The hummers like to sit in the althea between feedings or conflicts. Still refilling feeders every day or two.
