By 11:30 there was only one lonely Monarch left. On our way home from church we counted 24 in the air in an eighteen mile highway drive.

September 4
We saw a couple of Monarchs floating for about 30 min. then went to the back yard and saw ten flying around and THEN we observed fifty three that we were able to count in two different trees. We can see a couple of them floating very high up. We have been watching them for a couple of hours and they are still roosting. From 11:00-1:30 we are seeing them roost. We saw the flying ones about 9:00 this a.m.
