There are still a couple of young male ruby hummers dogfighting over the feeder. Unfortunately, the dominant male that ruled the backyard succumbed to an early demise - probably banged into a window - chasing off interlopers. Found the poor little guy on the deck but gave him a proper burial under his perching tree. Sad to see him gone and it will be much less interesting when the others are on their way!
