Hummingbird Sighting

Date: 09/04/2010

Number: 1

Hummers, Hummers EVERYWHERE--all day, from early morning to dusk. Activity is amazingly busy. So many zipping, chirping, chasing, fighting, displaying, posturing and whirring feathered bodies filling the skies. The numbers are staggering. I don't believe I've ever had so many energetic and hungry guests before.

An interesting observation: Black-chinned hummers are more aggressive than I first thought. They certainly give the Allen's and Rufous a run for their money. No wonder it's like a madhouse around here!
