Monarch Adult Sighted

Date: 09/03/2010

Number: 1

While waiting on the arrival of Tropical Storm Earl, I was at the South Shore of Long Island watching the rip tides in the Atlantic Ocean, I spotted a total of four brave monarchs weathering the tumultuous storm. Two of monarchs seeked shelter on the branch of a one tree. The weather was overcast, with strong west winds and the temperature was in the low 80s. My observation time: I was watching for _2 hours and ___ minutes.
