Basic Report: Yesterday, Sept 4, I did not see any hummers. Today at around 9:30 am, I saw a female very actively feeding, resting in the tree, and then returning to the feeder.
More Info: When the feeder ran out on Friday Sept. 3, I wondered if it was worth refilling it, but I did - you never know. The water level for the past 2 days seemed to stay the same, but I thought I noticed just the slightest reduction-more than just evaporation. Today my guess that there had been some activity was confirmed when I saw the lady hummer this morning. The weather has changed dramatically from very humid and hot, this past Friday, to cool, 57 degrees, windy and fairly dry today, Sunday.
