Hundreds of monarchs roosted overnight on neighborhood spruces. They seemed to prefer lake bank spruces on roads running east/west. On 9/5 the monarchs left slowly as the sun warmed them.We are estimating a minimum of 200 monarchs based on observer’s estimate of “hundreds.”
