Hummingbird Sighting

Date: 09/05/2010

Number: 1

This morning I was dive-bombed by the family (3) of Hummers living and feeding at my house. The feeders were empty so I immediately cleaned and filled them with yummy sweet red nectar from Menards.
I stayed out there for about a half hr talking on the phone, reading Sunday paper and they hovered about 2 ft in front of me to say "Thank You". They dived, looped, flit and smacked into each other to entertain me. I'm so enjoying my new friends and will miss them when they leave. If I move the feeder about 5 ft back from the porch and install a house, will they move into the house next year? Or return to build their nest in the nearby tree?
