Monarch PEAK Migration

Date: 09/05/2010

Number: 1

We were staying at a cottage on Silver Lake, which is separated from Lake Michigan by large sand dunes. Anytime we were outside we would see dozens of monarchs heading south across the lake. I don't think I have ever seen so many monarchs at one time. It was a sunny day in the mid 60's. I'm wondering if they were following the shore of Lake Michigan as they traveled south. My observation time: I was watching for _4_ hours and ___ minutes.
