From the longest porch in the world, the Grand Hotel on Mackinac Island, I observed dozens of Monarchs, both on 9/01 and 9/02. I assume that this was part of the migration along the Great Lakes. I could see at least a half dozen of them without turning my head, for the time I was sitting on the porch. My observation time: I was watching for ___2 hours and ___ minutes.
