I am still seeing 6-8 ruby-throats at feeders in my front and back yards. They feed almost constantly from very early in the mornings to about 8:00 in the evenings (CDT.) The older and younger males each select a feeder to defend, and chase others away very agressively. My husband and I enjoy them so very much! This has been our most successful summer with the hummers since we have lived here for 5 years. The "hummingbird flower garden" that we planted this year has been of great benefit.
