Humming bird in yard most of the day today. I made a bamboo tripod with a horizontal pearch and the bird enjoyed resting there at every break. The hummer was feeding on the 6 flowering agastashe bushes growing up among the bamboo tri-pod and fushias in various areas of the garden. It is now getting cooler here in the evenings approx 3-5 degrees C and it will soon be time for him to take flight. Looks like some nasty weather through Washington and Montana States in the next few days; sure hope it makes the right decision.

Also hummers still here September 4, 5, and 6 2010.
