I saw 2 or maybe 3 monarch butterflies in the yard this afternoon. I got a good view of one as it was feeding on sunflowers. It must have been fairly young because its color was very dark and it had no wing damage whatsoever. I also saw a monarch caterpillar on some butterfly weed. It was about 80 degrees at around 4:00 when I saw the butterflies. My observation time: I was watching for _0__ hours and _15__ minutes.
