Have seen monarch flying west from L. Michigan for 3+ days.
Spotted roost this morning (9/8), 100 ft. west of our home on sunny
side of willow tree. Counted more than 30 in one spot. Many are
hard to see when wings are folded.

Editor's Note: We dated this roost sighting for Sept. 7, the night the roost formed. For consistency, we use the 'first night' date for all roosts even if they are not discovered until the following morning.
