I'm seeing 4 to 5 Ruby Throated Hummingbirds...males and females. I see them all thru the day!
My Cardinal Climber Vine finally put on some beatiful red tubular flowers and I spotted a hummingbird at it already...it will be covered in red flowers soon! I have 3 different trees that I see my hummers sitting in,to keep watch over their feeders...Pine Tree, Bald Cypress and Oak. They also sit on the chain link fence quite often...watching over their feeders. The other day one was chasing the others away from the Blushing Bride Rose of Sharon Tree...he wanted it for himself...usually I just see them do that at the feeders. I've got lots of close up pictures of them this year! I sure hope my hummingbirds stay around till the very end of the month!
