Hummingbird Sighting

Date: 09/08/2010

Number: 1

Hurricane Earl roared through our garden on Saturday with winds recorded at 135 kmh not far from our property. Trees are down and flowers and shrubs are decimated. There are no hummer friendly flowers left and we saw no hummers on Sun or Mon. We figured they had flown/blown away. Then on Tues a lone female was at the window feeder numerous times and today there are two of them, which is the number we had visiting regularly before Earl. They survived and so did we. It will be Spring before we know the extent of long term damage to the garden.
