Monarch Adult Sighted

Date: 09/08/2010

Number: 1

About 5:15 in the evening, I noticed a few monarch butterflies flying to a large maple tree in the neighborhood. Within a few minutes there were more. I believe I counted up to 20 and they all seemed to light in this large maple tree. We live quite close to Lake Michigan shore and it appeared they were coming from the east toward the setting sun in the west. I checked at dusk to see if I could see them roosting in the maple, but was unable to see any. It was a lovely sighting. My observation time: I was watching for __1/2_ hours and ___ minutes.
